“Look, the floodplains!” | Animal illustrations for exhibition design by Extraplan

The new eco-centre in Hohenau, Austria, is showing its new permanent exhibition about the nature and wildlife in the floodplains along the banks of the rivers March and Thaya.

The new March-Thaya Center in Hohenau is the third of a total of five eco-centres that are being set up in Austria and Slovakia to bring visitors closer to this special natural environment. The eco-centre and its permanent exhibition “Look, the floodplains! Welcome to the March-Thaya floodplains adventure” is part of the Interreg project 3E-Morava Nature (funded by the EU with ERDF funds), which aims to protect and promote biodiversity and ecosystems along the Alpine Carpathian Corridor and the March-Thaya floodplains.

The new permanent exhibition is accessible in three languages, shows interesting facts about nature on 100 square meters and is intended to lure adventurers into the cross-border March-Thaya floodplains.
